Happy New Year!

FINALLY, I am breathing….

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!!!   MAY THIS YEAR BE ANOTHER FABULOUS YEAR – WITH FULL OF PLEASANT SURPRISES FOR YOU ALL.

It’s pretty late … but it is early enough for Chinese New Year (Mon. Feb. 8)

It has been  a bit of challenge to conduct a business (or two) during the holiday season, and schedule rehearsals… and trying to be a decent mom.

As soon as you hit Thanksgiving in end of November, class attendance becomes unreliable – and to put the show that goes up in the 2nd or 3rd weekend of January with 17 cast members are not the brightest idea.

But, that would be something I am used to.   I can put the production up and running in 10 days, as long as I have my foundation cast members.

However, I didn’t think about “what if’s” …. like getting a flu.   Michael got his first cold in first week of Dec. and then 3rd week…. and got a flu on the new years.  I dodged the bullet on the first one, but both Squi and I went down with a flu on the 1st weekend of this month.

Not fun – to have a 3 year old coughing in your face, while you are trying to direct.  But we did it, thanks to the support of very patient friends (Pea and Alia, especially) and easy going, no stress ensemble of the actors.

What a great way to start a new year – with a great successful production wrapped and with all of us healthy again.

… to be continued ….

On January first, we all go to Little Tokyo for the festive New Year celebration.

Squi didn’t feel like posing with this best looking Santa in town. So we bribed him with a pooping santa (he is holding it – it poops jelly beans)

7 short plays by 17 cast members. Cannot get better, especially with the full house!
