BASIC – “Welcome to the World of Audio Book and its Infinite Opportunities”
Topics Include:
- basic questions about Producers’ expectations and goals
- exploring the different types of audiobooks, from YA to adult fiction to nonfiction
- students have the opportunity to narrate different genres
- addressing idiosyncratic issues: ie. articulation, breath control, speech patterns
- exploring characterizations
- exploring dialect and accents
- work on storytelling pace, attitude & style
- determine which genres might be best suited to your particular voice range
- discuss in-booth mic technique, posture, reading technique
You will also have a one on one session with Arthur in the class.
