Kaz Matamura

She co-founded the Secret Rose Theatre in North Hollywood in 1998, and founded the non-profit Fire Rose Productions in 1999. She has produced over fifty events and festivals, established student exchange programs, and formed children’s readers’ theatre at local libraries and free children’s art classes since 2000.

Fire Rose Productions created and manages three theatre companies:  New Rose Ensemble, Mini Rose Ensemble, and Arigato Kai, a Japanese language performing troupe

She is a classical Japanese Dance master of the Fujima Souke school under the guidance of the legendary Fujima Kansuma.

Kaz has trained and coached more than three hundred clients since 1995.

She was the development director and youth program director at the renowned Stella Adler Academy of Los Angeles and an adjunct professor at the Art Center of Design in Pasadena (Acting for Film Directors)

Independently, she teaches acting techniques in LA, Las Vegas, Tokyo and Honolulu.

She is the first Japanese teacher to be certified by the Royal Shakespeare Company – Stratford Upon Avon, and has been creating the program to perform Shakespeare in English for ESL & EAL ( English as additional language) students in LA, Hawaii and Tokyo.  

Currently, she resides in Tokyo, Japan with her husband, a renowned photographer Michael Helms.

またむら　かずき

１９９７年に　ノースハリウッド、NoHo Arts District の活性化のためにロス市より招待され、　シークレットローズシアター（小劇場）を設立。　それを機に　演出家としての活躍を始める。こけら落としの“蝶々夫人（主演）” は批評家賞を受賞。

２０００年に非営利団体　ファイヤーローズ製作会社を立ち上げて以来、５０作以上の作品を制作．管下にアリガト会、ニューローズ、ミニローズの３劇団をおく。２００５年、藤間勘須磨師匠、藤間宗家勘十朗より藤間勘須貴の名前をいただく。

恩師である　フランク・コーサロ　（スタニスラフスキー）、マーセデス・シャーリー　（アドラー）、リン・レッドグレーブ　（シェークスピア）、リサ・ダルトン　＆マーラパワーズ　（マイケルチェーホフ）から学んだことを活用しようと、２０００年より演劇指導を始める。

現在は　ステラアドラーアカデミー、アートセンター大学で演劇を教える傍ら、演劇講師として撮影現場でもコーチ。

また　ショービズだけでなく、パブリックスピーチ、 ボディーランゲージ、コミュニケーション、発音矯正法を放送局やホスピタリーティー関係者にも広めている。

ゲッティー美術館にて展示会と建築案内ボランティア中。ミュージアムマニア。

メディアトレイナーとして　“人前で堂々とはなせる日本人”の育成をゴールにする。

有名写真家マイケル・エルメスと　ひょうきん息子亀論と　ワイキキに滞在中。
